Andrzej Stec JDPSN
- He received a master’s degree in architecture
- He met Zen Master Seung Sahn at a dharma talk at his university and began practicing Zen in 1981.
- He received inka from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1998
- He also served as abbot of the Kwan Um School of Poland and the second guiding teacher at Su Bong Zen Monastery in Hong Kong.
- Currently he lives in Korea and is the guiding teacher of the Kwan Um Seoul Zen Group and the Kwan Um Daejeon Zen Group.

Zen Master Soeng Hyang (Barbara Rhodes)
- She is the School Zen Master of the Kwan Um School of Zen (KUSZ)
- She was one of Zen Master Seung Sahn’s first American students and studied with him beginning in 1972.
- She was given inka in 1977.
- She received dharma transmission from Zen Master Seung Sahn on October 10, 1992.
- A registered nurse since 1969, she currently works in hospice care.
Zen Master Wu Kwang (Richard Shrobe)
- He is the guiding teacher of the Chogye International Zen Center of New York and Regional Zen Master of Americas
- He started practising with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1975.
- He was given inka in 1984 and received dharma transmission on August 1, 1993.
- He has a Master’s degree in Social Work
- A former professional musician. Currently he has a private practice in psychotherapy.
Zen Master Dae Bong
- Born in United States.
- He began practicing with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1977
- He became a monk in 1984.
- He received dharma transmission in April 1999.
- He is currently the Abbot of Mu Sang Sa, Kye Ryong Sahn International Center in Korea and Regional Zen Master of Asia, Australia & Africa
Zen Master Bon Shim
- She started practising with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1978.
- She moved to Warsaw Zen Centre in 1988 and served as an abbot for many years.
- In 1992 she received Inka from Zen Master Seung Sahn and was Guiding Teacher in Warsaw Zen Centre until 2012.
- She received transmission in 2006 from Zen Master Wu Bong Sunim.
- She is now the Regional ZM of Europe & Middle East.

- born in California, US
- he began practicing zen in 1997
- He received inka in 2015.
- He is a teacher and Vice Abbot at the Empty Gate Zen Center in Berkeley, CA
- He is also a teacher for Kwan Um School of Zen Online Sangha

Chuan Wen Sunim JDPS
- She was ordained as a nun in 1988
- She first heard of Zen Master Seung Sahn’s teaching in 1995
- She did her first Kong-An Zen retreat in 1997 at Hwa Gye Sa, Korea
- She received inka in 2015 from Zen Master Dae Bong
- She is currently the abbot of Hoeh Beng Buddhist Temple, Kuala Lumpur
Zen Master Dae Kwang
- Born in United States, currently lives in Singapore.
- He has been a monk since 1987
- He received transmission in 1996
- He is the guiding teacher at Zen centers in Wisconsin, Mexico and Kwan Yin Chan Lin, Singapore.
Tim Lerch JDPSN
- He was the resident director of the Kwan Um School center in Seattle from 1995 to 1999
- He was the abbot of the Providence Zen Center in Cumberland RI, the head temple of the Kwan Um School of Zen in America from 2000 to 2006
- He received inka from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 2001.

Koen Vermeulen JDPSN
- He began practising in the Kwan Um School of Zen in 1992.
- He received inka from Zen Master Wu Bong on 9th March 2013 in Do Am Sah Temple, Poland.
- He received a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and Quantitative Marketing
- He is currently working as Secretary General of the Belgian Buddhist Union

Zen Master Jok Um (Ken Kessel)

- He received inka in 1996 and transmission in April 2017.
- He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a psychotherapist
- He is guiding teacher for New Haven Zen Center, Hwa Um Sa-Orlando Zen Center, Gateless Gate Zen Center (Gainesville) and Cypress Tree Zen Group (Tallahassee), as well as teaching zen at other Zen Centers and affiliates.
Arne Schaefer JDPSN
- He started practicing Zen in the Kwan Um School of Zen in 1992. Previously he practiced in the Tibetan Kagyu Tradition.
- He received Inka from Zen Master Wu Bong in 2010.
- He was awarded a Master’s degree in religious studies in 1996 and a Master’s degree in psychology in 2002, both from the Free University of Berlin.
- In 2010, he also started mindsweets, a small enterprise creating and selling organic sweets for medita(s)ting.
- He is guiding teacher of the Zen Centers in Dresdenand in Bad Bramstedt and of the Hamburg Zen Group.

Kathy Park JDPSN
- She began practicing Zen in 1999 while living in London
- She received inka in 2016
- She is currently an administrative director at Mu Sang Sa and the coordinator of the International Initiative Project for the global Kwan Um School of Zen.
- She lives in Korea with her husband and lead the newly established Kwan Um Seoul Zen Group and Daejeon Zen Group.
- She is an art and design consultant, focusing on supporting Korean artisans and craftsmen for sustainability and development of their traditional craftsmanship.

Zen Master Bon Soeng (Jeff Kitzes)
- He began practicing with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1979.
- He received transmission in April 2001.
- He is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice, with a specialty in the integration of Zen Buddhism and Western Psychotherapy.
- He is the guiding teacher of Empty Gate Zen Center in Berkeley, California
Zen Master Bon Hae (Judy Roitman)
- She began practicing Zen with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1976.
- One of the founders of the Kansas Zen Center in 1978,
- she received inka from Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1998
- Received transmission from Zen Master Dae Kwang in April 2013.
- She is currently the guiding teacher of the Kansas Zen Center.
Hye Tong Sunim JDPS
- He was ordained as a monk in 1996 at Haeinsa Temple.
- Hye Tong Sunim received inka from Zen Master Dae Bong in 2012 at Musangsa.
- He is currently Seon Won Jang Sunim (co-guiding teacher) and vice-abbot at Musangsa.

Myong An Sunim JDPS
- born in Malaysia
- graduated in MBA (UK) and worked in finance
- In 1992, he was inspired to practice Zen after hearing a dharma talk by Zen Master Seung Sahn in Hong Kong.
- ordained in February of 1997, becoming the last monk to be ordained by Zen Master Seung Sahn.
- In 2002, he helped organize the Whole World Is a Single Flower Conference.
- He returned to Malaysia in 2013 and started Haeng Won Zen Centre in Penang.
- He is now the Abbot of Haeng Won Zen Centre.

Zen Master Dae Bong
- Born in United States.
- He began practicing with Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1977
- He became a monk in 1984.
- He received dharma transmission in April 1999.
- He is currently the Abbot of Mu Sang Sa, Kye Ryong Sahn International Center in Korea and Regional Zen Master of Asia, Australia & Africa
Zen Master Dae Kwan
- born in Hong Kong.
- In 1981, she was ordained at Ajahn Chaa’s International Forest Monastery in Thailand, and she practiced in Chiangmai for ten years including two years of intensive solo retreat in Tu Boo Cave.
- In 1992, she met Zen Master Seung Sahn during winter retreats in Korea and became his student.
- She then helped to establish Hong Kong Zen Center (known as Su Bong Zen Monastery now).
- In 1995, she received inka from Zen Master Seung Sahn.
- In April 2001 she received transmission from Zen Master Seung Sahn at Mu Sang Sah in Korea.
- She is now the abbot and guiding teacher of Su Bong Zen Monastery in Hong Kong.
Igor Pininski JDPSN
- He started practicing zen in 1995
- He received inka from Zen Master Bon Shim in 2013.
- He graduated in acting, currently working in his own film studio, focusing on educational films.
- He has been the abbot of the Lodz Zen Center for the last 14 years and is a member of the Polish Zen Kwan Um Sangha Council.
Dr Jan Sendzimir
- He started to practice in Kwan Um School of Zen since 1974
- He has been a senior dharma teacher for 30 years and is head dharma teacher at the Vienna Zen Center.
- Worked as a system ecologist for over 30 years, often acting as the bridge between scientist and nonscientist in sustainability projects in Central Asia, West Africa and Europe. He is also Founder of the Sendzimir Foundation
